Rays: -750 (bet $10 to win $11.33 total)Yankees: +500 (bet $10 to win $60 total) Spread: Rays -1.5 (NYY covers)O/U: 7 (Under hits) Spread: Yankees -1.5 (TB covers)O/U: 6.5 (Over hits) Here’s what to know about the Rays-Yankees odds: Game 1: Talk about a pitching duel for the ages. Tampa Bay’s Drew Rasmussen had a no-hitter until Austin Wells got the Yankees’ first hit with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning. Funny enough, he was still out stretching at third. That was New York’s only hit of the night, as it went 1-2-3 in the ninth. Gerrit Cole was also great for the Yankees, allowing one run and striking out five in five innings of work. Game 2: It was not quite the same pitching duel as Game 1, but the Rays really only needed to break out for one inning. They scored four in the bottom of the fifth, jumping out to a 5-1 lead that the Yankees couldn’t overcome. New York put its ace Cam Schlittler on the mound, and he gave up six hits and two runs in 4.1 innings. Ben Rice was the lone bright spot for N.Y., hitting two solo jacks on the day. Still, New York is up against it heading into Game 3 at home. Playoff History: The Yankees have made the playoffs in nine of the last 10 years and have made it past the wild card in eight of those appearances. They won three straight World Series between 1998 and 2000, and have made it to at least the ALCS 10 times since 2001. They last won it all in 2009. As for the Rays, they last made it to the World Series in 2020, falling to the Dodgers. They have one other World Series berth, back in 2008, when they fell to the Phillies.
