Almost nothing is guaranteed in motorsports, but when you set out to host a one-of-a-kind INDYCAR street race in the heart of Washington, D.C., exceptional and wonderfully juxtaposed views are, in fact, a given. For Sunday’s Freedom 250, the 1.7-mile street course ran around and through the National Mall, flanked by the U.S. Capitol on one side and the Washington Monument on the other.
